OVERVIEW
This Expedition is designed for those who are willing to make double 8000ers at once, which carries out high elevations including ascents of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse. These two 8000m shares the same route of Khumbu icefall till S-Col (7890m), thus climbers can make another additional ascent after climbing the first one.
Mt. Everest, the highest mountain in the world, is located in the Himalayas and straddles the border between Nepal and Tibet. It stands at an elevation of 8,848.86 meters (29,032 feet) above sea level. Mt. Lhotse, the fourth-highest mountain in the world, is located just south of Everest and stands at an elevation of 8,516 meters (27,940 feet). The Everest & Lhotse combo expedition involves a challenging and technical ascent that requires a high level of physical fitness and mental endurance. Both peaks are located in the Himalayas and stand at heights of more than 8000 meters.
The expedition follows a route through the Khumbu icefall and up to S-Col (7890 meters), which is shared by both mountains. From there, climbers can make an additional ascent to the summit of Lhotse after completing the climb to the top of Mt. Everest. This expedition is ideal for those seeking to conquer two 8000-meter peaks in one go - Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse.
Only a small number of climbers have completed the challenge of climbing both Everest and Lhotse in a single season. It is a rare and impressive accomplishment that requires a high level of determination and perseverance.
